Reimagine Walls
When Asian Paints decided to launch a luxury wall covering brand, curated from some of the biggest designers in the world, we understood that we had to change the perception of wallpaper in the minds of consumers. Nilaya: Exquisite Surfaces by Royale Play was born.

When Asian Paints decided to launch a luxury wall covering brand, curated from some of the biggest designers in the world, we understood that we had to change the perception of wallpaper in the minds of consumers. Nilaya: Exquisite Surfaces by Royale Play was born.
Besides creating a contemporary visual identity for the brand, we designed a launch exhibition that was, on one hand, a way for people to touch and feel the surfaces. But more importantly, it was a means to experience the creativity it inspired in spaces. Reimagine Walls was a whimsical forest, full of magical creatures, where walls came alive with stories. Techniques inspired by kirigami or the Japanese art of paper cutting formed 3D installations, that greeted visitors as they navigated their way around beautiful suspended surfaces — urging them to let their imaginations take flight.
