Phaneng
Artist and photographer Samar Singh Jodha first encountered the Tai Phake people of Phaneng in 2004. Intrigued by the disappearing tribe (only 1500 left at the time), he spent a great deal of time getting to know the people and photographing them, which has since served as documentation of a people that few know about. His portraiture project in black and white was published as a book and a photography exhibition. As a part of Trapeze, we designed a book of postcards, the catalogue and a website, among other exhibition collateral for Phaneng.
